1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any MeraHost service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement under Indian law.
2. Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and current information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one free trial account
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You may not use our services to host or transmit:
- Illegal content under Indian law or international law
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance; immediate termination and reporting to authorities
- Phishing pages, malware, spyware or malicious scripts
- Unsolicited bulk email (spam)
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Cryptocurrency mining scripts consuming excessive server resources
- Content that incites violence, hate speech or religious disharmony
Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension without refund and reporting to relevant authorities.
4. Payment Terms
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise
- Services are billed in advance on the selected billing cycle (monthly/annually)
- Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 3-day grace period
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing customers
- GST invoices are issued for all transactions as required under the GST Act, 2017
5. Service Uptime & SLA
We guarantee 99.9% monthly network uptime for all shared and VPS hosting plans. Scheduled maintenance windows are excluded. In the event of uptime falling below the SLA, you may claim service credit by contacting support within 7 days of the incident. Credits are applied to your account and are not redeemable as cash.
6. Data Backups
We perform daily backups of shared hosting accounts as a courtesy service. However, you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups. We strongly recommend keeping independent backups of all critical data. MeraHost is not liable for data loss.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on merahost.in — including logos, text, graphics and software — is the property of MeraHost and protected under Indian copyright law. You may not reproduce or redistribute any content without prior written consent.
8. Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity
- You may cancel your account at any time from the client portal; refunds are subject to our Refund Policy
- Upon termination, we retain your data for 30 days before deletion; export your backups before cancelling
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MeraHost's total liability for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of data or business interruption.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra. We encourage resolution through our support channels before initiating legal proceedings.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify customers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
